  7. Abstract:
  8. Recycled materials have been very much taken into consideration in recent years due to economic issues and the preservation of natural resources. Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) is also of particular importance due to less energy use in construction and environmental compatibility. This study examines the compressive workability and resistance to low temperature crackings of warm mixt asphalt containing reclaimed asphalt pavement (up to 30% by weight of aggregate). Sasobit was used as an organic additive in 1.5% by weight of bitumen in warm mix asphalt. Two additives of crumb rubber modifiers (9, 15 and 18% by weight of bitumen) and hydrated lime (1.5 and 2% by weight of aggregate) were also used to improve the fracture energy of asphalt mixtures. With the specimen height variations during compaction, a performance measure was introduced. The results showed that Sasobit improves the workability and crumb rubber modified and hydrated lime reduces the workability of asphalt and reclaimed mixtures. By performing Semi Circular Bend test (SCB) and extracting the fracture energy parameter, the resistance of the specimens was determined against low temperature cracks. The results showed that with increasing the amount of crumb rubber modifiers, the fracture energy of the specimen increased. Also, the additive sasobit provides a significant reduction in the amount of fracture energy of the samples. Recycled asphalt specimens containing at least 15% of the crumb rubber modifiers had better performance than the control specimen
