- Abstract:
- In this research, the multi-period network design problem of metro networks with the aim of maximizing network resilience redefined. In this regard, first the resilience of the metro network studied and a quantitative criterion for measuring resilience proposed. This criterion is presented using the shortest paths between each origin-destination based on the characteristics of the network graph. Then, a model for obtaining the metro network archery scheduling program introduced with the aim of maximizing resilience and taking into account budget constraints in each period, lost user demand, arc construction constraints in one period and feasibility of total construction of arcs in each period. First, the possibility of solving the mentioned model using accurate solution was investigated and after determining the impossibility of reaching accurate solve, two heuristic solution methods presented. The first heuristic method is based on genetic algorithm and the second is proposed using network graph properties. The model solved by both methods for three hypothetical networks and the results are compared with each other. Finally, by reviewing the master plan of Tehran Railway, the proposed model is implemented on this network, and after solving the model with both methods, the results are compared with the result of solving the usual multi-period design problem of the network
