    Synthesis of Azacrown Ethers N2O2 Ligands Substituted on the Ullerene and Investigation of Its Coordination Properties

    The goal of this project was study on coordination behavior of the 14-membered macrocyclic ligand of type N2O2 aza-crown while it is attached to fullerene C60 nano-particle. For this purpose, firstly the macrocyclic ligand (Fig 3-1, L1) was synthesized and then was reacted with C60 (Fig 3-1, L2) of which the product was characterized by elemental analysis.     Co(salen)-type complexes: Co(salen), Co(salophen), Co(3,5-Brsalen), Co(Clsalen), Co(3-OMe,5-Brsalen), Co(saltmen), Co(Brsalen), Co(OMesalen) were shown to be efficient catalysts for oxidizing cumene to cumyl alcohol, methylstyrene and acetophenone. The mixture was characterized by 1H NMR and GC-Mass spectroscopy. Product s efficiency and turnover number of catalysists were determined. Proposal of the mechanism provides a rationale for the influence of ligand substitutions on the reaction.     The purpose of this project is to synthesis of O2N3-azacrown ligands with 17 to 21 membered ring and investigation of their interaction with C60 according to increase ring size.     Study on Cation and Fullerene Recognition by OxNx-Aza Crown Macrocyclic Ligands

    Abstract
    In this research, a new group of N2O2–azacrown macrocyclic ligands with different macroring size from 15 to 18 was synthesized using one-pot facile and high yield reaction. The products were characterized applying FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopies as well as elemental analysis. The single crystal structure of 18-membered macrocyclic ligand was also determined by x-ray crystallography. The crystallographic data showed such strong inter-molecular hydrogen bonding which excluded their nitrogen-donor groups, and initial investigation with UV-Vis spectroscopy shows no intraction with [60]fullerene, despite of presence of these interacrtions in their parent macrocycles.     The Study of the Photocatalytic Effect of ZSM-5 Zeolite

    Abstract
    In this study, different metal oxides were impregnated on the surface of ZSM-5 employed as photocatalysis for degradation of methylene blue dye used in the presence of ultraviolet light. The final products were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) method. According to the proposed mechanism for the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue based on these results, it was found that the reaction followed from the first-order mechanism. The results indicated that rate constant for pure ZSM-5 was 9.3〖 ₓ10〗^(-3) (min-1).     By considering previous works undertaken in our laboratory on the interaction between O2N2 azacrown and [60]fullerene using UV-vis spectroscopy. It was found that the significant interaction occurs in less than one hour. Extending this time in this research, the reaction between [60]fullerene with 15 to 19 membered N2O2-azacrown macrocyclic ligands was investigated during ten days. The interaction of 3p with zinc tetraphenylporphyrin was investigated, using fluorescence and UV-vis spectroscopy in solution phase.     Silica nanoparticles is one of the most important mineral particles. In this study, Sodium silicate, Sulfuric acid and Sodium aluminate is used in order to synthesis of the modified Silica nanoparticles. The effects of temperature, reaction time and the molar ratio of regents were tested and optimized. Synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by use of XRD, FT-IR and SEM techniques.
