    Reducing the Size of the Reactor for Production of Fullerene-containing Soot and Study on the Efficiency of Alumina and Silica Gel as Stationary Phase for Separation of C60 and C70

    Abstract
    In this study, with respect to previous projects, we focused on size reduction of hollow and endohedral fullerenes research reactors. For this reason, we set up two reactors having 1/2 and 3 liters volumes and then such parameters as pressure, reactor temperature, arc duration time, arc time interval and the working electrical current through the electrodes circuit, in both reactors were optimized. The reactors, 3- and 1/2-liter reactors were of types of horizontal and vertical, respectively.     In the present research, the conversion of methanol to hydrocarbons was studied over a new series of mesoporous low-silica HZSM-5 (Si/Al=11) catalysts impregnated with cations such as Fe, Zn, Mo and Cr. A systematic study on the effect of stepwise modification of the catalysts for the conversion of methanol to gasoline (MTG) was undertaken in a fixed-bed tubular reactor under ambient pressure at 375 °C, feeding with weight hourly space velocity (WHSV) of 2 h−1.     Study of NxOy Macrocycles Bearing Peripheral Functional Groups as Axial Ligands of Zinc Tetraphenylporphyrin

    Abstract
    In this project, M2 macrocyclic ligand, bearing three pyridine side arms (3p) was synthesized and characterized by employing elemental analysis and 1H NMR, 13C NMR and IR methods. The interaction of 3p with zinc tetraphenylporphyrin was investigated, using fluorescence and UV-vis spectroscopy in solution phase. The observed quenching in the fluorescence spectrum alongside Q band shift in UV-vis spectrum indicate on the interaction of 3p with ZnTPP.     The purpose of this project is to synthesis of O2N3-azacrown ligands with 17 to 21 membered ring and investigation of their interaction with C60 according to increase ring size. These macrocyclic ligands can be used in C60 purification. In this project, change in macrocyclic cavity for finding the best macrocycle with appropriate cavity to C60 size has been considered.     Study on Cation and Fullerene Recognition by OxNx-Aza Crown Macrocyclic Ligands

    Abstract
    In this research, a new group of N2O2–azacrown macrocyclic ligands with different macroring size from 15 to 18 was synthesized using one-pot facile and high yield reaction. The products were characterized applying FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopies as well as elemental analysis. The single crystal structure of 18-membered macrocyclic ligand was also determined by x-ray crystallography. The crystallographic data showed such strong inter-molecular hydrogen bonding which excluded their nitrogen-donor groups, and initial investigation with UV-Vis spectroscopy shows no intraction with [60]fullerene, despite of presence of these interacrtions in their parent macrocycles.     The Study of the Photocatalytic Effect of ZSM-5 Zeolite

    Abstract
    In this study, different metal oxides were impregnated on the surface of ZSM-5 employed as photocatalysis for degradation of methylene blue dye used in the presence of ultraviolet light. The final products were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) method. According to the proposed mechanism for the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue based on these results, it was found that the reaction followed from the first-order mechanism. The results indicated that rate constant for pure ZSM-5 was 9.3〖 ₓ10〗^(-3) (min-1).     In the present study, the coordination chemistry of an amino acid azacrown macrocycle ligand bearing one carboxylic acid arm (MA1) was investigated by employing NMR spectroscopy, crystallography and computational chemistry. MA1 was synthetized by the reaction of chloroacetic acid with the parent azacrown macrocycle and its purity was confirmed with 13C and 1H NMR for the first time. The effects of temperature, reaction time and the molar ratio of regents were tested and optimized. Synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by use of XRD, FT-IR and SEM techniques.
