    A multi-objective economic-statistical design is aimed in this article for simple linear profiles. In this design, the interval between two successive sampling intervals, the sample size and the number of adjustment points alongside, the parameters of the monitoring scheme are determined such that not only the implementation cost is minimized, but also the profile exhibits desired statistical performances.     In this paper, a non parametric approach is first proposed to monitor simple linear profiles with non normal error terms in Phase I and Phase II. In this approach, two control charts based on a transformation technique and decision on beliefs are designed in order to monitor the intercept and the slope, simultaneously. Then, some simulation experiments are performed in order to evaluate the performance of the proposed control charts in Phase II under both step and drift shifts in terms of out-of-control average run length (ARL1).     Abstract
    A practical design method is presented which used the fuzzy logic advantages in adaptation of sliding mode control. The combined Fuzzy Adaptive Sliding Control (FASC) is designed in such a way to enhance satisfactory sliding performance and robustness with good level of chattering alleviation. The design approach is valid for a class of nonlinear uncertain MIMO systems. This control algorithm does not require the system model.     Integrated guidance and control of an elastic flight vehicle based on constrained robust model predictive control is proposed. The design is based on a partial state feedback control law that minimizes a cost function within the framework of linear matrix inequalities. It is shown that the solution of the defined optimization problem stabilizes the nonlinear plant. Nonlinear kinematics and dynamics are taken into account, and internal stability of the closed-loop nonlinear system is guaranteed. Generally, the characteristic polynomial of the system dynamic matrix is not an affine function of the uncertain parameters.
