  7. Abstract:
  8. In the present study, the process of recycling spent lithium batteries by co-precipitation method has been investigated. The process of regeneration of lithium batteries by co-deposition method consists of four stages. In the first stage, the cathodic material is separated from the aluminum foil using NMP solution, and then the cathodic material is heat treated at a temperature of 700 degrees. In the second stage, using sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide, the cathode material is leached at 60 ° C, pulp density 55 g / l, time 100 minutes, sulfuric acid concentration 3.25 M and volume percentage of hydrogen peroxide. 10% More than 99% of lithium, nickel, cobalt and manganese are leached. In the third step, first, because the cathode material intended for the center is intended for the nickel-rich cathode material battery, the concentration of nickel, cobalt and manganese in the desired composition of Ni0.9Co0.025Mn0.075 is first adjusted and then the process Co-precipitation of nickel, cobalt and manganese is investigated using oxalic acid as the precipitator at 60 ° C and the molar ratio of oxalic acid to the total molar of nickel, cobalt and manganese in solution equal to 1.3, pH equal to 2 and aging time for one day all nickel cobalt and manganese precipitate and through this process less than ten percent of lithium in the precipitate solution is precipitated. The oxalate complex is converted to oxide complex by heat treatment and combined with lithium carbonate and obtained by heat treatment at 850 ° C to the cathode material. Electrochemical analysis of the battery shows that 850 degrees is the best temperature for the synthesis of the battery material, gives the best cyclic efficiency, and the load transfer resistance of about 20 ohms indicates that increasing the concentration of nickel has been able to electrochemical performance of the battery and improve its electrical conductivity
